April Shabbaton

April 24 @ 6:00 pm - April 25 @ 9:00 pm

Headshot of Rabbi Matthew Leibl

Rabbi Matthew Leibl returns! Let’s welcome him to the OJC bimah for the April Shabbaton. Once a radio sportscaster, he has served as a pulpit rabbi and a popular “free-agent” community rabbi in his hometown of Winnipeg. He now works full-time as a dad and part-time as the spiritual leader of that city’s Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre. Join us for a musical, family-friendly Kabbalat Shabbat, and an engaging and thoughtful Saturday morning Torah service.

After lunch, Rabbi Matthew will host an intimate discussion session on topics of Jewish interest. Bring your questions! The rabbi’s thoughtful perspectives are sure to be enlightening.

On Saturday evening, Rabbi Matthew will put on his comedic cap and regale us with stories about the most culturally-Jewish episodes of Seinfeld. Join us for this fun, secular, social evening!
