THE SHTETL – A Jewish Universe

ARE YOUR GRANDPARENTS FROM THE SHTETL?
OJC is fortunate in arranging a very special program entitled “Shtetl – A Jewish Universe” run from Haifa, Israel by Evgenia (Jane) Kempinski. Evgenia is a Russian Israeli tour guide who has tremendous knowledge about the historical Russian Jewish scene. This event is scheduled on ZOOM for Sunday, June 5 at 10 am Kelowna time. Not only will she discuss “shtetl history and society” in general, but has done research on the specific shtetls/towns that your grandparents have come from. Thank-you to all those members and friends who have submitted the names of these locations that Evgenia will present. Sounds like a very fascinating program. Hope you can join us.
