WELCOME BACK, RABBI MATT!

Rabbi Matthew Leibl is coming back to the OJC for the final Shabbaton weekend of 2024. Once a radio sportscaster, he has served as a pulpit rabbi and a popular “free-agent” community rabbi in his hometown of Winnipeg. He was recently installed as the part-time spiritual leader of that city’s Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre.

Although his time is in high demand, our OJC congregation is fortunate to again enjoy Rabbi Matt’s dynamic and musical approach to Shabbat (and his dulcet radio voice!).

Saturday evening, let’s make the most of these early winter evenings. Matt will light up the night with his fantastic, engaging Oy to The World!, a showcase of Chanukah songs and all the famous Christmas songs (and the stories behind them) written by Jewish composers.
