Rabbi Cantor Russell Jayne returns to the OJC to start 2026. It may be the chilly season, but he always warms up our bimah with his insightful services and beautiful voice. A long-time honorary member of the OJC congregation, Rabbi Cantor Russ is the Senior spiritual leader at Calgary’s Beth Tzedec Congregation. We’re grateful that he makes a point to visit us throughout the year! Please join us in welcoming him for the first of his two winter Shabbatons.
After lunch, Rabbi Russ will host an intimate discussion session on topics of Jewish interest. Bring your questions! The rabbi’s thoughtful perspectives and in-depth knowledge of Judaic studies mean that this is sure to be a fascinating and enlightening afternoon!

1:30 – Ask the Rabbi Jewish education session with Rabbi Russ
