On Saturday evening, the OJC Kaffeehaus opens for the season, featuring talented Kelowna musician, Adam Meachem!
The OJC transforms into a cozy, Sephardic kavané, or kafeterya. With origins in Spain & Portugal, North Africa, Türkiye, Greece, Syria, and Bulgaria, Sephardic Jewish culture is rich with flavour.
¡Venga! Come! Learn a little Ladino, nosh on some delectable Sephardic treats, and enjoy Adam’s incredible Spanish guitar stylings. Influenced by the complex rhythms of flamenco, gitano, and classical music, Spanish guitar is passionate, expressive, and totally addicting! Don’t be surprised if you find yourself shouting, “¡Enhorabuena!” when this show is over.
